Jane Prichard Cold Case Homicide

Jane Prichard was a student at the University of Maryland and was obtaining her Master’s degree. She was conducting botany experiments in Blackbird Forest State Park where she was later found by two campers on the evening of September 20, 1986.
Detectives learned Jane was shot with an unknown weapon which caused her death. She was last seen alive by a hunter shortly after 10 am. The hunter provided detectives with specific descriptions of Jane`s clothing, vehicle, and scientific equipment.

Location: 101 Donhaven Drive, Garfield Park, New Castle, De. 19720
Investigation Details:
On Wednesday, October, 3, 1979 in the morning hour’s police responded to the victim’s residence. The victim was found deceased at the residence. The victim died of blunt force trauma. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Victim: Unidentified white female approximately 45 years old
Murdered on: May-June 1977
Location: Old Union Church Road, Townsend, De.
Investigation Details:
The victim’s badly decomposing body was located by a passerby on the side of the road in a drainage ditch. The victim is described as a white female, approximately 45 years of age, 5’3” to 5’6” with blond or light brown hair. The victim’s death has been ruled a homicide.
